What is in the mind of a U.S. soldier fighting in Afghanistan.
2007. Zabul province. A U.S. Army platoon is patrolling a huge area on a remote and unprotected front line outpost. The only way to accomplish the mission is on foot.
Soldiers talk to the camera in a honest and blunt way, sometimes using an unexpected and striking sense of humour, about the different reasons why they join the military, the hardships of their mission, the way how Afghanistan has transformed their lives and their minds, their fears, missing home and what they try to do to be back alive from what they define as a ‘’forgotten war’’.
